Independent Presidential Candidate Rev. Dr. Given Katuta has called on all independent candidates to unite ahead of the August 2026 general elections.
Katuta said independent candidates must join hands to present a credible alternative to voters who are dissatisfied with traditional party politics.
She said that unity would strengthen the voice of independents and improve their chances of influencing the country’s leadership direction.
“Zambians deserve options beyond recycled party structures. By coming together, independent candidates can offer voters a platform focused on national interest, accountability, and service delivery,” Katuta said.
The call comes as political parties and alliances intensify campaigns ahead of the August polls.
